SHOOTMATE

Terms of Use

Effective 13 October 2026. This is the same text shown in the app under Me › Legal.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Luke Uglow (ABN 86 215 349 900). By using ShootMate you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. Apple's standard licence agreement for App Store apps also applies. You must be 16 or older to use ShootMate.

2. What ShootMate is

ShootMate is a personal planning tool for hunting, camping and fishing trips: dates, countdowns, alarms, lists, costs and offline maps. It doesn't tell you where or when you may hunt or fish.

3. Hunting and firearms laws

You're responsible for following the law: firearm licences and storage, hunting and fishing licences, permits, seasons, bag limits, property permission, and national park and state forest rules. These differ by state and change over time, so check with the relevant authority before every trip. Seasons and dates in ShootMate are only what you enter. Firearm safety always comes first.

4. Maps

Maps can be out of date or wrong, and don't show property boundaries, access rights or hazards reliably. Don't rely on ShootMate alone to navigate. Carry a paper map, a compass or GPS, and a personal locator beacon or satellite messenger in remote areas, and tell someone your plans.

5. Reminders and alarms

Reminders and alarms depend on your phone's settings, battery and permissions, and may not always go off. Set a backup alarm for anything that matters.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse ShootMate. That includes trying to break or reverse-engineer it, or using it to plan anything unlawful.

7. Price

ShootMate is free to use, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

8. Your content

Your trips, lists and notes belong to you. They stay on your phone.

9. Our content

ShootMate's name, design, artwork and software belong to Luke Uglow or its licensors. You may use them only to use the app.

10. Liability

ShootMate is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the app. Our total liability is limited to resupplying the service. Some guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law can't be excluded, and these terms don't try to.

11. Ending use

You can stop using ShootMate any time and delete your data in Me → Privacy & data. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.

12. Changes and law

If these terms change materially, ShootMate will ask you to agree again. They're governed by the laws of Western Australia. Questions: getswingmateapp@gmail.com.
